Welcome to the Sibelius Academy Library!

Sibelius Academy Library is a specialist music library. The collections and services are open to all, though they are primarily designed for students, teachers and researchers at the Academy. Lending library consist of music material and books.

The primary mission of the Sibelius Academy library is to support the education, research and artistic work of the Academy. The collections contain some 72,000 items of sheet music, 34,000 records, tapes, etc., 17,000 books, 800 videos and a large range of collected works and anthologies.

WHAT'S NEW

New fees for overdue items

Fines for overdue items will rise on October 1st 2010.

Fines for overdue items: 10c/item/day, max. 4 €/item.
Fines on overdue short loans: 20c/item/day, max. 8 €/item.

Maximum overall overdue fines: 20 € (no separate fee for cancellation of loan ban). The customer will enter loan ban when overall fines exceed 10 €.

Libary's new telephone numbers

The telephone numbers in Sibelius Academy that begin with 020 (or +358 20) have become obsolete. The new numbers are found on library's web pages. The short three digit numbers used for internal calls remain the same.

New telephone numbers:

Reference library, 5th floor: +358-(0)40-710-4223 (internal calls: 538)
